Biography
Vítor Machado Ferreira (born 13 February 2000), known as Vitinha (Portuguese pronunciation: [viˈtiɲɐ]), is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain and the Portugal national team. Considered one of the best midfielders in the world, he is known for his ball control, work rate, and playmaking abilities. Coming through Porto's youth system, Vitinha was promoted to the first-team in 2020. He was loaned to Premier League club Wolverhampton Wanderers in September 2020, before returning the following season. He established himself as an integral player for Porto winning a domestic double, being named the league's Best Young Player of the Year. In June 2022, he joined Paris Saint-Germain. With PSG, he won four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupes de France, and was integral to the club winning their first UEFA Champions League titles back-to-back in 2025 and 2026, with the former being part of a continental treble.
